A Writing Group for 3rd yr students

31

18, 25 March and 1 April, 3-5pm, Library room 5.10

The final months of preparing your thesis can be particularly demanding. The commonly-used notion of ‘writing up’ implies a mechanical task of putting down what has emerged in your research. It is rarely like this. As you approach the final stages you need to find a way to manage your data, the writing task and yourself. The approach will be peer learning and experiential. We will address the specific questions you have about writing the thesis and you will share your writing with others for critical discussion. I’ll hope that you come to all three sessions and will encourage you to continue meeting together once the formal group has finished. If you have questions or would like to book a place (by 12 March), contact Myna (m.trustram@mmu.ac.uk)
