Journal of Arts Writing by Students (JAWS): Call for Papers and Meet the Editors event
CFP Deadline: 13th March
Meet the editors:
Date: 27th Feb
Location: May Day Rooms, London
The Journal of Arts Writing by Students (JAWS) serves as a platform for peer to peer engagement and for research currently taking place within institutions as part of MA and PhD study. Originally founded at Chelsea School of Art, JAWS has been published by Intellect Books since 2015, and is the first academic arts journal entirely dedicated to current students’ and recent allumi’s work. It works to open new lines of discourse and collaboration and seeks to promote early career researchers across a wider academic community, demonstrating the ability, dedication and professionalism of students.
We would love to invite writing and works from Manchester School of Art MA and PhD students working. We are currently seeking submissions for our 6th Volume and the deadline is Friday 13th March.
We would also love to hear from any students who would be interested in engaging with the publishing process. To this end, we are putting together an event where those interested can ask questions to our editors and hear from authors to understand the importance of having their work published. This event is on the 27th February in London at the May Day Rooms. I attach the poster/invitation.
Our full guidelines for submissions can be found on our website (www.jawsjournal.com/submissions ), and our first issue and all the guest editorials are available to download for free at the Intellect website (www.ingentaconnect.com/content/intellect/jaws/).
