A practice-led enquiry into the spatial and dimensional relations between photography, print and architecture.
I am a filmmaker currently conducting practice-led research into the newly built environment in post-economic crisis Republic of Ireland, with particular reference to unfinished housing estates and vacant commercial property- which I refer to as 'ghost developments'.
My research concerns the representation of the built environment. In conventional architectural photography the form of buildings is shown without reference to the function of the spaces within and between them; which was the primary purpose for their construction.
