Meeting of Minds: Collaborative Research in the Arts and Humanities
    NWCDTP CONFERENCE 2019 // 28th -29th October 2019.

The AHRC North West Consortium Doctoral Training Partnership is delighted to announce
that this year’s conference, Meeting of Minds: Collaborative Research in the Arts and
Humanities, will be hosted by the University of Manchester at the Barnes Wallis building
(North campus) on Monday 28th and Tuesday 29th October 2019.
This 2019 conference seeks to showcase but also to examine how collaboration can produce truly innovative research. We are seeking proposals for papers, presentations, posters, panels and performances that reflect collaboration in research not only in the Arts and Humanities but also beyond, or that investigate the concept of collaboration. We welcome abstracts from all disciplines across the Arts and Humanities, and, in keeping with the theme,

Interdisciplinary proposals are specifically encouraged. Proposals may integrate the following themes or perspectives, however, we very much encourage interpretation of this brief because of the inherent creativity that is involved in collaborative work:
    ● Interdisciplinary, Transdisciplinary, or Multidisciplinary Collaboration
    ● Retaining Identity in Collaborative Projects
    ● Risks of Collaboration
    ● Collaborative Research Methodologies
    ● Working as part of a Collaborative team
    ● The Functionality, Innovation, and Benefit of Collaboration
    ● Collaborative Impact
    ● Technological Collaboration
    ● Funding Collaborative Projects
    ● Challenges of Collaboration
    ● Assessing Collaborative Research

We are looking for the presentation of collaborative research projects in progress, as well as collaborative performance in any medium.
We will also have an area for stalls in the foyer of the conference building, and we welcome
stalls promoting creative or collaborative groups, initiatives, collectives, research networks,
