    Exhibition dates: 28 September – 28 October
Private View: Thursday 27 September, 6-9pm

Into A Light is an exhibition of new paintings, drawings, and collages by seven artists represented by PAPER and LLE in Saatchi’s Prints & Originals Gallery. The exhibition marks a shared ideology and aesthetic between the two spaces, highlighting the wealth of talent in the regions, whilst maintaining a cutting edge conceptual programme that remains rooted in traditional mediums.

Into a Light brings together the work of seven artists who use the idea of fantasy but not in a fantastical way.  Another world is presented: a place rooted in personal experience but with a heightened focus; a kind of rupture in reality.

The artists selected are from United States of America, Japan, Australia, and UK, forming a cross collaboration between PAPER, Durden & Ray, Gallery Lara Tokyo, and Art Office Ozasa.  Native explores the concept of nationhood. Last chance to see: Paraic Leahy – The Nothing Unfurling Under Her Gaze
    Until 22 September 2018

Paraic creates highly detailed paintings with an absurd logic, using his own slant on magical realism, deviating from the familiar and breaking rules. A fascination with the human subconscious and the unknown shapes that dwell within, seeps into Paraic’s work, questioning the recesses of an individual’s inner world. He looks to themes of incompleteness, isolation and social order, underpinned by contrary notions of ‘beauty and the absurd’

    until 22 September 2018

This is Daniel’s first solo show after graduating from University of Salford with a degree in Visual Arts, where he received a graduate scholarship at Hot Bed Press. Daniel combines Neo-Classical ideals with the glitch aesthetic. Reimagining sculpture, he uses the monochrome surface of sculptures and combines textures, patterns, and the colours of glitch image files to create contemporary digital images. These he renders as screen-print.
