A powerful research tool: save selections, create clips and download time-coded screeners
IWM has upgraded its Imagen Enterprise Video Platform to make the IWM film collection more accessible to commercial users. The new website provides a powerful and intelligent research tool which uses keywords and extra filters to find content more efficiently.
Jane Fish, Senior Curator – Film, IWM says; “The new version of Imagen has given us all the tools we need to offer better search methods and a more user-friendly environment. Registered users can save collections, create clips and request notifications when newly digitised IWM films are uploaded that fit their search criteria.”
Improved user interface
Improvements include: multi-select search results and tool bar options for batch edits; video length now shown on the toolbar; custom default messages when searches return zero results. Fast access to previously saved searches from any search bar on the site.
Clip order processing
Users can now create a download order for all the time-coded screener clips in their workspaces with a one click batch processing. Selected edits are sent to a workflow; new files are automatically generated and made ready for download.
Email and RSS notifications
With new films being added regularly, it’s a chore for users to keep coming back to look for specific content. That’s why we now have a range of options to keep users updated automatically.
Users can set their search criteria for the content they need and we will send automated emails when new relevant media is uploaded to the library – along with direct links to the new videos. Users can set frequency for emails – receiving daily, or as the new content arrives. Users can also subscribe to RSS feeds to receive updates based on saved search criteria.
